Who is a supplier?

According to the Public Procurement Act 2003, a "supplier" means a physical or judicial person that provides supply of goods, contracting of works, or consultants or other services.

What is registration?

Registration classifies suppliers according to their capability in specific work categories. It is an assessment of a supplier's financial, managerial and technical resources and competence to execute and complete the work required.

Application

Application assessment

The application is then assessed against the criteria specified in the registration guidelines to determine a supplier's suitability to undertake the assignment in the category applied for. This assessment will determine if a supplier has demonstrated satisfactory relevant experience and performance in the categories for which registration is being sought.

Outcome

Following a detailed assessment, a supplier will be registered in a specific category.

Duration

Registration is for a year after which is due for renewal.
